What this checklist can—and cannot—tell you

The sound comparison uses deterministic spelling-distance and English-language vowel heuristics. It can surface useful look-alikes such as Kit and sit, but it cannot model every accent, pronunciation, language, or a dog's learned response.

The tool gives prompts, not a rating. It does not replace advice from a qualified trainer or veterinary professional, and the absence of a warning is not a guarantee that a name will be easy for every dog to distinguish.
