Black and White Cat Names - 28 Curated Ideas

Black and white cats are usually named for their pattern rather than a single colour, so it helps to work out which pattern you actually have: a tuxedo, a patched coat, white paws, or a dark mask.

Tuxedo, Tux, and Wingtip suit a black coat with a white chest.
Socks, Mittens, and Boots describe white paws or legs.
Oreo, Domino, Patches, and Cow fit heavily patched coats.

Name the pattern, not just the colours

A tuxedo cat is mostly black with a white chest and often white paws. A bicolour or piebald cat has larger irregular patches. Naming the pattern you actually have gives you a much shorter and more useful shortlist than browsing colour names generally.

Short forms are worth planning

Several names here are long — Marshmallow, Sylvester, Checkers, Alabaster. Decide the everyday short form before you commit, because that is the version you will use dozens of times a day. Tux, Moo, and Spot are already at their short form.
